Chef De Parties support the smooth running of our kitchens and uphold the systems in place to ensure our standards are met. Chef de Parties will have the opportunity to grow within the business and experience our approach to seafood preparation as well as train towards acquiring the necessary management skills to progress in our industry.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • A highly positive attitude towards achieving daily targets and facing challenges that arise
  • A great team work ethic built around team first principles and good communication
  • At least 3 years experience working in different sections of a kitchen
  • A high level of attention to detail and standard of preparation
  • Good understanding and execution of ingredient preparation, seasoning, cooking and plating

As Sous chef, you will be committed to Nathan Outlaw’s approach to seafood cookery, working with the very best seafood Cornwall has to offer, alongside a team dedicated to upholding Fish Kitchen’s 10 year reputation for exceptional hospitality and seafood cookery.

Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen is a small and busy restaurant within the heart of Port Isaac. With just 3 chefs working in the kitchen, we embrace the unique setting and space, and prepare seafood that is simple but big on flavour, and wholly reliant on its quality and freshness. Only great team players, and positive individuals need apply.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • At least 4 years experience working at Chef de Partie level or higher

A great opportunity for a chef who takes pride in what they do, loves cooking, and needs the consistency and security of no late-nights or evenings, along with fixed shift times.

Along with the chance to balance work and home, you will be able to work within a small and committed team at Outlaw’s Guest House, hosting only 9 rooms (18 covers), in a relaxed, professional workplace.

To be our Breakfast Chef you will need to be committed to the role and highly organised, showing attention to detail and care throughout. Often working alone, you will need to be confident in managing preparation and breakfast service. Basic cooking skills and an understanding of kitchen hygiene are required and will need to be demonstrated on application.

As our Breakfast Chef you will be running the breakfast service, ensuring all standards are maintained for both the cooked and buffet breakfast. You will be responsible for ordering, preparation, record keeping, kitchen hygiene, and organising of all breakfast items for the following day, staff breakfast (served after breakfast service), washing up, cleaning, and assisting with the preparation of afternoon bakes. Full training and support will be provided by an experienced and long-standing management team.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • An understanding of working in a professional kitchen, organisational skills, cleanliness, attention to detail, and understanding of cookery.
  • A highly positive attitude towards achieving daily targets and facing challenges that arise.

Salary: starting from £21,000 per annum plus excellent tips
Location: Outlaw’s Guest House, Port Isaac
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am to 1pm.
