When the summer visitors drift away and Cornwall draws in its breath, Port Isaac feels like a secret shared only with those who seek it out. Outlaw’s Winter Foodie Getaway is made for this moment. It is our invitation to experience the off-season as it was meant to be: unrushed, generous, and filled with food worth travelling for.
From 1 November until 31 March, we offer our most accessible package of the year, designed for two people who want to eat well and unwind. Choose between a two-night bed and breakfast stay, or arrive on a Friday and settle in for a three-night weekend. Whichever you choose, everything is included… Two nights of exceptional dining at our restaurants in Port Isaac, mornings that begin with breakfast both cooked and continental, and afternoons sweetened by homemade bakes with tea or coffee by your side.
Dinner is where the season truly shines. At Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen, our ‘OFK to Share’ menu arrives as a series of vibrant plates that celebrate the day’s catch. At Outlaw’s New Road, our Seafood Tasting Menu is a slower, more expressive journey through the very best fish from our icy waters. These are not menus pinned down in advance; they evolve with the sea and the season, reflecting the honesty of ingredients that arrive still gleaming from the boats.
Life between meals is just as unhurried. The residents’ lounge is stocked with board games, an honesty bar, and — when the spirit takes us — a round of seasonal cocktails. At Christmas, the house dresses itself for the festivities, adding a little glow to winter evenings. The focus is on simple pleasures: returning from a bracing cliff walk to a pot of tea and a slice of something freshly baked, or watching the weather roll in across the harbour as you linger with a glass in hand.
A winter break in Cornwall isn’t about blazing sunshine or crowded beaches. It’s about the drama of the sea, the stillness of the village, and the unmatched quality of fish drawn from cold waters. Outlaw’s Winter Foodie Getaway offers it all on the plate, paired with the comfort of a small, welcoming stay. Nine rooms only, one harbour village, and a season that rewards those who choose to taste it.
